Grains higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Dec. delivery was up 2.40 cents at $4.33 a bushel; Dec corn up 1.40 cent 3.5040 a bushel; December oats gained 4.60 cents at $2.6640 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was 3.60 cent higher at $9.9560 a bushel.
Beef lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was up .18 cent at $1.1253 a pound; October feeder cattle was down .15 cent at $1.5340 a pound; October lean hogs was up .15 cent at $.6085 a pound.
