Boys soccer: Elgin downs Lake Zurich

Jean Padilla-Gomez scored twice and had an assist Wednesday as the Elgin boys soccer team defeated Lake Zurich 3-1 in a nonconference game.

Omar Lopez added a goal and an assist for the Maroons (14-2-3) while Olaoluwa Ajayi added an assist.

Martin Jimenez made 7 saves in goal for Elgin.
