Police: Man with weapon in car stopped near O'Hare

A 32-year-old man is in police custody after authorities say they found a weapon in his car during a traffic stop near O'Hare International Airport.

Officers stopped the man about 8 a.m. in the 5600 block of North Cumberland Avenue, Chicago, Chicago Police Spokeswoman Michelle Tannehill said in an email.

The man did not have a valid Illinois Concealed Carry License.

Further details were not immediately available.

The situation remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
