Ole Miss DB A.J. Moore ejected for targeting
AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Mississippi defensive back A.J. Moore has been ejected for targeting.
Moore leveled No. 12 Auburn's Stephen Roberts as he fielded a punt early in the second quarter, appearing to hit him with his helmet first. The call was only briefly reviewed and then upheld.
Roberts got up and trotted off the field. He's the Tigers' starting strong safety.
Moore is the Rebels' first-team nickel back. He came into the game with 19 tackles, including three for a loss and a sack.
