Spaulding school rewards students for positive behavior
Spaulding School in Gurnee celebrated great student behavior recently with grade-level Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, or PBIS, celebrations.
PBIS is a popular behavioral system used by many schools nationally.
Students counted and made chains with their superpower tickets, which students can receive from any teacher in the building for showing respect, responsibility, safety or productivity, the four superpowers stressed in the schools. They also watched movies, and played games as part of the celebration.
