13th Annual Truly Priceless Garage Sale Earns Record Amount for Charity

The crowds have subsided. The driveway is cleared. The leftovers (83 boxes) have been donated to AMVETS. The money has been counted, and the 13th Annual Truly Priceless Garage Sale, co-sponsored by the St. James Respect Life Ministry and the St. James Society of St. Vincent de Paul on September 9th, is officially a record breaker.

It was, by far, the most successful ever. More than $3,200 was raised for charities that either provide assistance for people experiencing serious financial hardship or assist women in unplanned pregnancies. This amount was more than 13% greater than the previous best in 2014. The great items that were donated were "purchased" with donations to the five charities, with the following results:

Catholic Charities: $ 971.75

Fr. McGivney Center of Hope & Healing: $346.00

Pro-Life Action League: $497.87

Society of St. Vincent de Paul: $729.94

The Women's Center: $674.34

2017 Total: $3,219.90

13 Year Total: $ 28,168.45

We thank all the donors, the shoppers, and the volunteers. It is only with all of their assistance that this can happen.
