'Adulting 101' series to teach life skills, STEM

An "Adulting 101" class series to teach life skills and STEM literacy will open from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at First Christian Church, 635 N. Randall Road in Aurora. Co-sponsor is 23 Foods, an Aurora food home-delivery service.

The public is invited. Admission, parking and child care are free. Call (630) 801-8871 for information or a reservation.

Classes in this series will include life-lesson skills like budgeting, resume writing, gaining a success mindset and presenting a professional image. In addition, fun, cool, and hands on activities to become STEM literate will be offered.

Skills classes are designed to make students more appealing and sought after in today's competitive world. Future classes will be offered monthly on the second Monday of every month or on the third Monday of the month if the second Monday is a holiday.

The schedule will be Nov. 20, Dec. 11, Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10.
