Art in the Barn pages art lovers to Good Shepherd Hospital
Art lovers browsed the works of about 175 artists over the weekend on the grounds of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Art in the Barn featured artists exhibiting their works - paintings, jewelry, ceramics, wood and more - in old barns. The event also offers music and a children's art area.
Art in the Barn began in 1975 as a way to raise funds for a new hospital in the area. Over the years, organizers have raised more than $3 million for the hospital. Now, the money from the event goes to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in medicine.
