Fun time in Ela Township

Ela Township held its second annual Township Day Thursday in Lake Zurich's Knox Park.

Community partners and nonprofit organizations offered visitors information about their programs, services and resources.

The family-friendly event, set up next to Ela Town Hall on Route 22, offered free hot dogs and treats, music, wagon rides, children's games and highway department truck display.

A nonperishable food collection was also held to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.
