PM & L Theatre kicks off 57th season with 'Treasure Island'

Submitted by PM & L Theatre

Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" opened Sept. 15 to kick off PM & L Theatre's 57th season. The play will run at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 1.

"Treasure Island" is directed by Adam Armstrong.

Packed with pirates, "Treasure Island" is an adventure of epic proportions on the tropical seas. Jim Hawkins (played by Aaron Stone), a fatherless 14 year old longing for adventure, discovers an "X"-marked treasure map. He joins recently deposed Captain Flint's (Nic Cicerale) crew, where he meets one of the greatest anti-heroes of all time, Long John Silver (Adam Miskie). The tale of treachery and mayhem features a rowdy bunch of swashbucklers including the dangerous Billy Bones (Joshua Armstrong), the sinister Israel Hands (Jeff Langley), and the fierce Anne Bonny (Erin Booth).

Tickets are available online at www.pmltheatre.com and are $15 and $13 for seniors and students. To reserve tickets directly through the box office, call (847) 395-3055. The box office is open from 6-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays and 1½ hours before curtain on show dates.

PM & L Theatre is at 877 Main St., Antioch.
