Night life: Mount Prospect hosts pub crawl; Neighborhood Inn celebrates 40 years

Say so long to summer (whimper, whimper) when the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association hosts the Summer Slide Pub Crawl from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. The crawl includes new and favorite Mount Prospect spots including Mia's Cantina, Sam's Place, Mrs. P & Me, Emerson Ale House, Trezero's Kitchen and Tap and Brick City Tavern. Beautiful day in the Neighborhood

How does a suburban bar mark a milestone? With a 12-hour 40th anniversary bash, of course. Hoffman Estates' Neighborhood Inn Bar & Grill starts the party at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, with music in a tent, food for sale and drink specials, including $5 punch. After 10 p.m., the fun moves indoors and goes until 3 a.m. Admission to the tent party is $10, with 10 percent going to the Hoffman Estates Athletic Association.
