Hanover Park man sentenced for traveling to meet a minor

A Hanover Park man, arrested during a 2013 Cook County sheriff's police undercover investigation, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for traveling to meet a minor.
Acquitted last month of a more serious charge of indecent solicitation, Andrew Kozar, 30, was sentenced Friday at the Maywood courthouse, court records show.
Having received credit for about 45 months he spent in Cook County jail, Kozar was released from Illinois Department of Corrections custody on Monday, according to a sheriff's department spokeswoman.
As a condition of his sentence, Kozar must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
