Glenbard North to present an evening of comedy

Glenbard North High School Theatre offers an evening of infectious humor, tenderness and fun when it presents its fall studio production, "Love/Sick," Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 19 and 20.

The one-hour performances start at 7:30 p.m. in the school's Little Theatre, 990 N. Kuhn Road, Carol Stream.

"Love/Sick" is John Cariani's collection of nine slightly twisted short plays combining for a dark, amusing look at love.

Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, the play collection explores the pain and joy that comes with being in love, striking just the right balance between wisdom and whimsy. Full of imperfect lovers and dreamers, "Love/Sick" is an unromantic comedy for romantics.

The cast features Tony Boccia as Man/Bill, Alyssa Divarco as Woman, Chris Talia as Singing Telegram Man, Jamie Foster as Louise Overbee/Jill, John Vo as Ben, Jarred Baligod as Andy, Keith Lyman as Keith, Katie Flynn as Celia, Allison Kasper as Sarah, Mia Figueroa as Kelly/Emily, Daniel Frusolone as Mark, Jacob Evans as Kevin, Megan Sapp as Abbie, Lucy Nguyen as Liz, and Pavel Paunov as Jake.

The play is directed by students Pooja Chafekar, Demi Dumovich, Samantha O'Connell and Anna Sieg.

Tickets are $5 at the door and at glenbardnorthhs.seatyourself.biz.
