Mundelein hosts police academy for seniors

The Mundelein Police Department's next senior citizens police academy starts Wednesday.

Attending the academy will enable participants to gain a better understanding of the procedures, guidelines, responsibilities, demands, personnel, equipment, policies and laws that guide the department's decisions, according to officials.

Classes are at 10 a.m. every Wednesday through Nov. 15, at the police station, 221 N. Lake St.
