Libertyville hosting town-hall meeting on flooding

Libertyville officials will be hosting an open house followed by a town hall discussion of flooding and related issues beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St.

The open house from 4 to 7 p.m. will be a workshop style format to collect information on current flooding conditions in various areas to be used in by village consultants in preparing a stormwater management plan.

At 7 p.m. Mayor Terry Weppler and the village board will provide an overview of the July storm and take public comment and questions about the village's response. What residents can do to prevent damage in the future and future capital improvements that may assist with stormwater management are other topics.

Call (847) 362-2430 for more information.
