Get inspired at Mundelein Fine Arts Festival Sept. 9, 10

Admire all the unique talents of artists, get inspired, and shop for beautiful artwork at the seventh annual Mundelein Fine Arts Festival, a two-day event that will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10.

This juried show will feature professional artists, many of them local, displaying beautiful paintings, photography, pottery, wood furnishings, jewelry and other handmade items. The festival will also feature local musicians and food will be available for purchase. Admission is free.

In addition to the professionals, the Mundelein Arts Festival will also highlight artwork by students from Mundelein High School and Carmel Catholic High School. With the help of Platinum Sponsors Mundelein McDonald's and Knauz Auto Group of Lake Bluff, scholarship money will be awarded to select students pursuing art in college.

There will also be a craft tent where children can create something of their own. The Festival will take place in Kracklauer Park, 100 N. Seymour Ave., in downtown Mundelein, Artists as well as music and food will be located in the paved area for easy access by visitors.

The Mundelein Arts Festival is presented by Mundelein Community Connection and Mundelein Park & Recreation District.
