Gender Pay Gap Presentation in September Launches 2017-2018 Program Season for AAUW Chapter
The gender pay gap, myths about women's unmentionables through history and the conflict between social justice and intellectual freedom are featured topics for the season of meetings by the Waukegan Area Branch of the American Association of University Women.
New members and visitors are always welcome to the monthly meetings held at the Gurnee Police Department Community Room, 100 O'Plaine Road. The December gathering will be held in Wadsworth and there is no meeting in January.
Meetings are open to the public and membership is open to anyone with an associate's degree or higher.
The Waukegan Area Branch was organized in 1928 and represents all communities in northeast Lake County, Illinois. AAUW is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
A founding group for the Lake County Women's Coalition, the AAUW Waukegan chapter is a nonpartisan, nonprofit group that empowers women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. .
One of 1,000 local chapters across the country, the AAUW was organized in 1928 and it represents all communities in northeast Lake County, Illinois.
