FBI searching for Downers Grove bank robber

The FBI is looking for a man who robbed a Downers Grove bank Thursday afternoon and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.

Authorities say the man entered the US Bank at 1048 Ogden Ave. about 1:35 p.m. and demanded money. He did not display a weapon and no injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a black man in his 20s standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black Nike hat, a black short-sleeved button-down shirt, a gray tie and sunglasses.

Downers Grove officers used a police dog to search the area but the robber escaped. Area schools were placed on lockdown during the search.
