Cosmetic exfoliation of the skin can provide younger, healthier and more radiant looking skin. In this class, we will look behind the formation of aging skin, hormonal skin discolorations and post-inflammatory skin conditions. Advanced skin physiology and endocrine system will be evaluated, with an emphasis on highlighting hormones that affect pigmentation (melisma & PIH) along with pre-mature aging disorders with a review on the Fitzpatrick Scale and Global Skin Type Classification. Combination therapies, such as LED and Microcurrent to enhance the process will be introduced.
