Metropolis School of the Performing Arts holds open house

Metropolis School of the Performing Arts will host an open house Tuesday, Aug. 29 for those interested taking drama, dance and music classes this fall.

Tours of classrooms, studios and rehearsal spaces will be offered, and attendees can get their hands on instruments in a "musical instrument petting zoo," officials say. Staff and faculty will be available to answer questions. No commitment is required. The open house is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 111 W. Campbell St. in downtown Arlington Heights.

Registration is underway for the fall session, which runs from Sept. 5 to Dec. 23. Classes are held weekly.
