District 15 served 12,700 free meals over the summer

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 served 12,700 free meals during this summer's breakfast program. Officials said the meals were served at 10 locations, accounting for an increase of 1,300 meals from last summer. Anyone 18 or younger received a complimentary meal during select times and locations from June through early August. District 15 officials said Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights purchased fresh fruit served at Falcon Park Recreation Center on Hicks Road in Palatine. At least 600 meals were served at Falcon Park over two weeks.
