Glenbard Parent Series to host book discussion

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is partnering with the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families for a discussion of the book "Enrique's Journey: The True Story of a Boy Determined to be Reunited with His Mother" by Sonia Nazario.

The book is the 2017 Community Read selection. A discussion of this New York Times best-seller will be led by Gilda Ross, Glenbard High School District 87 student and community projects coordinator, and Glen Ellyn Elementary District 41 board member Erica Nelson at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane St., Glen Ellyn.

Nazario then will visit at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, for a Glenbard Parent Series event at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St., Lombard.

Nazario will examine complex questions about the economic, social and human factors in the debate about America's newcomers.
