Arlington High Class of 1967 to celebrate 50 years

The 1967 class of Arlington High School will celebrate its 50th reunion Friday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 19th. All members of the class are invited to join the festivities.

The fun kicks off with a meet and greet from 6 to 8 p.m. at the old Arlington High School, now the Christian Liberty Academy, 502 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.

Class members who have signed up for the reunion weekend will get their name tags and tour the Grace Gymnasium, as well as many other areas of the school. A memorabilia table is planned and anyone is welcome to bring items for display.

Christian Liberty Academy will show some of the many changes made since the days of Arlington High School. Water, pop and light snacks will be provided. There will be an opportunity for a class photograph on the bleachers of the Grace Gymnasium.

There are many new restaurants, pubs and gathering places to visit afterward in Arlington Heights, especially if you have not been back since 1967. The Arlington Ale House, 111 W. Campbell, Arlington Heights, accessed through the lobby of the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, has invited class members to make use of one of its rooms.

The major event of the reunion will be dining, dancing and reminiscing Saturday evening at D'Andreas Banquets, 4419 Northwest Hwy., Crystal Lake. A DJ will be playing hits from the '60s and '70s.
