Growing food in school topic of next Green Drinks event

Indoor growing environments in greenhouses at three schools in Lake County will be the topic of the Green Drinks program at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at O'Toole's Libertyville, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Cheryl Besenjak, executive director of Growing Healthy People will discuss how students from kindergarten through eighth grade are learning about growing food and how their food system works while interacting with state-of-the-art aquaponics, aeroponics and hydroponics systems.
