Roskam really knows how to sandbag

Representative Peter Roskam had a fine photo op, visiting people filling sand bags against the flooding of the Fox River.

Just a few days earlier Roskam voted to sand bag the U.S. military. He voted for a bill to prevent the Defense Dept. from evaluating the impact of climate change on military readiness. Fortunately this bill was defeated.

Unlike Peter Roskam, a majority of members of Congress did not have their heads in the sand. But do not despair, Rep. Roskam: You may yet have the opportunity to be photographed visiting the sand bags at a flooded U.S.

military installation.
