Get your entry in for Batavia Kiwanis Calendar Photo Contest

Are you a novice photographer? Are you a professional local photographer? Are you someone who enjoys taking snapshots of our community?

The Kiwanis Club of Batavia is looking for your photos!

Beginning July 25, they are accepting submissions of photos taken in Batavia, Illinois to be utilized in the new Kiwanis Club of Batavia Weekly Cash Calendar for 2018.

They are looking for photos that capture the beauty of the area throughout all four seasons. Photos must be taken in Batavia, Illinois and be sized for printing at 12.25 inches wide by 9.25 inches high (3,675 x 2,775 pixels).

Photographers whose photos are selected will receive recognition for their photos in the calendar including name, city, email and/or website if applicable.

Where to submit entries? Entries can be emailed to Batavia Kiwanis board member Jamie Saam at jamie@downtownbatavia.com.

Or they can send you a link where you can download your photos.

All entries must be received by Wednesday, Aug. 16.

It is open to amateur and professional area photographers; by submitting your photos, you are affirming that the photos are your own, taken by you, and you have full rights to the photos.

No entry fee is required.

Entries must be received by Aug. 16, with final judging completed by Aug. 30.

All photographs must be high resolution of at least 300 dpi at 100 percent. Most digital cameras and mobile devices are set to reproduce at high resolutions. If you are unsure of the resolution of your photo, email it and they can tell you if resolution is acceptable.

Clearly label within the body of your email, your name, address, phone number and specific location of each photo. Any other helpful information about the photo(s) is also appreciated. Please label subject line of your email, photo submission. You will receive an acknowledgement email from us of having received.

They reserve the right to reproduce, with credit to the photographer, all submissions.

Submissions of photos permits Kiwanis Club of Batavia, Illinois to use your photographs in the calendar, website, e-newsletter and other organization marketing materials and projects with credits to photographer.

If your photos feature distinguishable human subjects, a signed photo release by the subject is required before publication. Photos with minor children must have signed permission by parents or guardian.

Submission of photographs is not a guarantee of acceptance for publication for the 2018 Kiwanis Club of Batavia Weekly Cash Calendar.

All photographers, whose photos are selected, will receive one free Kiwanis Club of Batavia Weekly Cash Calendar as a prize for their photo being one of 12 selected.
