Letter: Trump continues to disrespect citizens

Trump continues

to disrespect citizens

I agree with The National Centre for Transgender Equality's statement that Trump's announcement is an egregious attack on the the 15,000 transgender people currently serving in the US military.

U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth reminds us that this has nothing to do with military readiness as no one was questioning the sexual identify of the crew that saved her life in Iraq.

What is next?

Under this administration, the press, protected under the Constitution, is vilified; women's rights to reproductive control are threatened; world wide agreements on climate control are nullified; the Department of Justice is thought to be subservient to the president's whims; and a puppy love relationship with Russia is ever unfolding.

No matter our political leanings, we were prepared to respect the office.

Too bad the current occupant is lacking in respect for so many of this country's citizens.
