Libertyville collecting sandbags next week

Libertyville public works crews will be collecting sandbags from Sandstone Drive, Kenwood Avenue, Riverside Drive, Appley Avenue and Oak Trail Drive from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Residents should place sandbags at the end of their driveway no later than 7 a.m. Monday. Call (847) 362-3434 to make arrangements if sandbags are not picked up.

Village officials also will host a stormwater open house followed by a discussion of flooding issues at a town hall meeting Sept. 13, at the Libertyville Civic Center.
