Ex-Illini guard Coleman-Lands joins DePaul
Former Illini guard Jalen Coleman-Lands has officially transferred to DePaul and must sit out the 2017-18 season before he can play for DePaul head coach Dave Leitao.
"Jalen Coleman-Lands provides our program another elite long-range shooter," said Leitao. "For the upcoming season, he'll provide our team great competition in practice and as a player with two years of experience he'll give us leadership on and off the court."
Coleman-Lands is the second player to leave Illinois after head coach John Groce was fired and replaced by Brad Underwood. Coleman-Lands, a 6-3 uard, averaged 9.1 points per game in 69 career games at Illinois.
