Inverness ranked first in safety

Inverness ranks No. 1 on a home security company's list of Illinois' 50 safest towns. Salt Lake City-based SafeWise released the list this week and stated its report was compiled by company analysts using the most recent FBI crime data from 2015. SafeWise found the top 50 towns had one murder and 67 robberies. Other suburbs on the top 10 list include Winfield in third, Gilberts fifth, Campton Hills sixth and Hawthorn Woods in seventh.
