Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra Summer Opera-Double Bill Extravaganza

The award-winning Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra will present two one-act operas at its fourth annual Summer Opera in Concert. The orchestra and a cast of singers will present a concert performance of Vaughn Williams intense study of life and death in an Irish fishing village,"Riders to the Sea", followed by a performance of Puccini's delightful comedy about scheming relatives and a last will,"Gianni Schicchi". The ensemble will be led by Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra music director Dr.Timothy Semanik.

The operas will be presented in English and in Italian with projected English supertitles. The performance starts at 7:30 PM on August 12, 2017 and will be held at the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange, 100 West Cossitt, LaGrange IL.
