Uncle Sam 5K Thanks Participants and Sponsors for 1st Annual Race on July 2nd
The first annual Uncle Sam 5K and Little Patriot's Dash was held on Sunday, July 2, 2017, and had nearly 500 individuals of all ages participate in the event. Funds raised support Fathers Helping Fathers (FHF), a national not-for-profit that provides educational classes and development programs that help fathers in every aspect of parenting, from prenatal classes to toddler training to dealing with teenagers.
The event was produced by Adrenaline Sports Management (ASM), which is based in downtown Palatine and produces 5K's and half marathons across the country.
"We are thrilled with the turnout for this first-year event that was a new offering for area residents during the popular Hometown Fest celebration," said Aaron Del Mar, ASM founder. "We also are grateful to our sponsors who helped to contribute to the overall event, and to support Fathers Helping Fathers."
Del Mar added that ASM continues to create unique, themed events that offer a fun and healthy alternative the whole family can get involved in.
