Mosquito spraying tonight in Geneva, St. Charles

Geneva and St. Charles will be sprayed Friday night and early Saturday morning with chemicals to kill adult mosquitoes.

It is scheduled to take place from dusk to dawn in Geneva and until 2 a.m. in St. Charles.

Clarke Environmental will use a synthetic treatment. People with asthma and other respiratory conditions are advised to stay indoors, with their windows closed, during the misting and for one hour afterward.

If there are high winds or rain, the spraying will be rescheduled.

Residents can sign up for alerts at geneva.il.us or through the Go Geneva app.
