Craft Beer Fest returns to Elmhurst this fall
The Elmhurst Heritage Foundation and the Rotary Club of Elmhurst will sponsor their third annual Elmhurst Craft Beer Fest this fall.
The fest is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, on the grounds of the Elmhurst History Museum, 120 E. Park Ave.
The festival will feature more than 50 craft beers from 30 breweries throughout the Chicago area. For a complete list of breweries and to purchase tickets, visit elmhurstcraftbeerfest.com.
Organizers are encouraging patrons to take advantage of Early Bird savings. General admission tickets purchased by Saturday, Sept. 9, are $40; early entry tickets (noon to 1 p.m.) are $50; and designated driver tickets are $20. After Sept. 9, general admission is $50 and early entry is $65.
The ticket price includes a souvenir tasting glass, 18 tasting tickets, light snacks and a chance to win door prizes.
The first 200 attendees will receive a $5 coupon good for food and beverages on the day of the event at participating Elmhurst City Centre bars and eateries.
Barbecue Jim's Smokehouse Food Truck and Brain Freeze Ice Cream will be on-site and the Explore Elmhurst Trolley will be making the rounds through Elmhurst.
Those interested in volunteering at the festival may visit elmhurstcraftbeerfest.com for information. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old.
Festival proceeds will benefit the Elmhurst Heritage Foundation's support of the Elmhurst History Museum's exhibits and the Churchville Schoolhouse living history education program, plus the Rotary Club of Elmhurst's many service projects.
