Media must deal with issues that matter
One of the better metaphors I have heard recently is the "ball of yarn," referring to the president's penchant for throwing out yet another outrageous tweet just so he can watch the news media chase it around and beat at it for days on end.
As fun as that might be for him, the media does have more important things to do. I can only hope they get to it soon.
Donald Trump is a human being not fully formed, devoid of ability to show compassion or empathy, an egocentric bully who is willfully ignorant and, basically, of no particular consequence - except for the fact that he holds the highest executive position in our government.
He came to this position due to a perfect storm of sad situations. Those situations persist. As citizens of what is beginning to look like a failed state, our tolerance for lack of direction among lawmakers is running low.
Media, please tune out the game show host and deal with issues that matter most.
