Showing that giving is truly sweet
A little more than a week ago, I sat with 11 other community friends, stuffing my face with doughnuts.
A creative collaboration, The Salvation Army's First Donut Eating Contest raised over $4,600 to support families in need in the Tri-Cities.
But the unsung heroes of the event were Paul Lencioni and his great staff at Blue Goose Market. Without hesitation, Paul offered the Blue Goose as the hosting location for the contest AND provided doughnuts free for the event. Blue Goose is the reason this event was able to provide hope for hurting families in the Tri-Cities.
So next time you're in the area, stop by the Blue Goose and buy a doughnut or even a cart-full of groceries. While you're there, let them know you appreciate their sincere commitment to our community. Their efforts show that giving truly is sweet.
