Print is to blame, too

Concerning the Sunday editorial on cable news bias, newsprint needs to look in the mirror. One must recognize the left-leaning bias in today's major print media. The New York Times, The Washington Post, the LA Times, The Associated Press and many others. Left-wing writers outnumber conservative writers in the neighborhood of 6 or 7 to 1. I am also somewhat disappointed in the Daily Herald who claim to be unbiased but use The Washington Post and AP as their primary sources for national news. There are other choices such as the Washington Examiner, New York Post, Washington Times among others that could be used to balance their coverage. As far as cable news, comparing Fox News to MSNBC is absurd. While Fox News does have right-leaning commentary shows in its late-night programming, it is certainly balanced in its daytime straight news coverage. That cannot be said for MSNBC. There is no straight news on MSNBC. A more realistic comparison would have been Fox News and CNN and you can be the judge of that comparison.
