Former Woodland Dist. 50 teacher returns to be principal

A former Woodland School District 50 teacher is returning to be principal of the Elementary West School.

Ryan Wollberg spent 10 years as a sixth grade social studies teacher in the district.

"I am grateful and excited to return to the Woodland community as the principal at Elementary West," Wollberg said in a news release. "I know the strong commitment staff, families and community members have for our students' education and I am honored to once again be part of this partnership. Together, we will continue to do amazing things for our students at Elementary West."

A native of Mundelein, Wollberg attended Western Illinois University for his undergraduate degree and received a master's in education from National Louis University. Ryan and his wife, Margaret, live with their 4-year-old son, Hunter in Wauconda.
