Reggae Fest at Bahama Breeze

Live bands, authentic Jamaican food and a new Caribbean-inspired cocktail. They're all on tap starting Saturday, July 1, during Bahama Breeze's Reggae Fest. Every Saturday during summer, Bahama Breeze will host live reggae bands. Satisfy your hunger with the special "Taste of Jamaica" plate, offering jerk pork, jerk chicken, beef empanadas, rice 'n' beans, callaloo and sweet plantains. Top it off with the new Jama "Can" Punch featuring Captain Morgan, Myers's Dark Rum, pineapple and lime juice and Angostura bitters served in a limited-edition tin can. Bahama Breeze is at 406 E. Retro Bistro's anniversary menu

Retro Bistro celebrates its first anniversary in Crystal Lake and 27th year in Mount Prospect with a three-course prix fixe menu for $27. Menu items include but are not limited to grilled Pacific calamari steak and French herbal goat cheese salad, entrees of pork tenderloin au poivre and grilled wild Pacific salmon, and desserts of creme brulee and flourless chocolate ganache cake. Steak + Vine's future adult menu

Emphasizing its family-friendly atmosphere, Steak + Vine offers its littlest patrons a specialty "future adults" menu. All choices come with an appetizer of apples, carrots, celery and grapes. Entrees include a grilled or fried chicken breast, grilled cheese, pennette pasta with marinara or butter and Parmesan, each for $8; or grilled or fried shrimp kebabs for $12; or tenderloin kebabs of filet medallions, pineapple and tomato for $12. To celebrate the weekend before July 4, 210 Restaurant hosts an R&B/Gospel brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2. Offerings include anything from a biscuits egg benedict station to shrimp and chicken gumbo to roast turkey with cornbread stuffing and gravy to roast Scottish salmon with citrus and capers.
