Sikich LLP wins national workplace award

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - June 29, 2017 - Professional services firm Sikich LLP was recently recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management for its workplace practices with a 2017 When Work Works award.

"We have worked hard to build a culture that maximizes engagement and offers support and workplace flexibility to help our employees better integrate work and life," said Janel O'Connor, chief human resources officer at Sikich. "It is an honor to see our efforts recognized with this prestigious award."

The When Work Works awards recognize employers that offer initiatives such as work-life fit policies, transition to parenthood programs, opportunities for learning, a culture of respect and trust, and job autonomy.

"It is exciting to receive this accolade from SHRM for our workplace initiatives," said Sikich CEO Chris Geier. "I'm proud that we have established a strong company culture across our offices that enables a healthy work-life balance and equips our employees to succeed."

Award recipients are evaluated through an assessment focusing on real-life experiences of employees and national benchmarks of employer practices, along with an employee survey. This is the second year Sikich has been named a When Work Works award recipient. View the full list of winners at www.whenworkworks.org.
