Blackberry Farm to present 'Aurora Yesteryear 1949'

Blackberry Farm, 100 S. Barnes Road in Aurora, will offer "Aurora Yesteryear 1949" from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2.

Listen to local historian John Hendricks talk about what downtown Aurora was like in 1949; stores that made and sold candies and baked goods, fine dining restaurants, upscale department stores and shoe stores. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

The program is for ages 14 or older.

Daily admission for residents is $5, $4.50 for children or seniors, or free for kids under age 2. The nonresident admission is $8, $7.
