Pick up an outfit or two at Cindy's Super Dress Sale Aug. 26

Need a dress and don't want to spend a fortune? Then you need to stop by Cindy's Super Dress Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the YWCA Elgin, 220 E. Chicago St., Elgin.

Cindy's Super Sale is a special one-day event that allows women of all ages to shop the 1,000s of gently used dresses (all colors, current styles, and sizes; some with tags still on) and only pay $10 for short dresses and $25 for long dresses.

Don't miss out on this magnificent event, stop by the YWCA Elgin and pick up a dress or two for your holiday party, date night, a gala, homecoming, or fall wedding!

All the proceeds for this event will go to the YWCA Elgin's Cinderella's Closet Program. Cinderella's Closet provides high school girls with a prom dress, shoes, jewelry and accessories, completely free of cost or at a reduced rate.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare the dresses and work at the event. Volunteers must be 13 or older; "Check Out" volunteers must be 18 or older.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Dress sorts: 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, July 19 and Aug. 23;

• Event setup: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25;

• Cindy's Super Sale: Check Out from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; A.M. Runner from 9:30 a.m. to noon or P.M. Runner/Breakdown from noon to 3 p.m.

Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the YWCA's Elgin prom dress giveaway, Cinderella's Closet.
