Midsummer Theatre Troupe brings 'As You Like It' to Geneva July 15

A night of culture and comedy returns to Geneva's Island Park when the Midsummer Theatre Troupe takes the stage for a free outdoor Shakespeare performance at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 15.

A family-friendly performance, "As You Like It" will entertain children and adults alike. Double-entendres, slapstick humor, physical gags and dynamic actors are sure to provide laughs for all ages.

The audience is encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic dinners to enjoy the 90-minute, Ravinia-style theater experience. It is free, though donations are welcome.

Children can express their artistic talent at a preshow craft activity presented by Geneva Public Library District at 5 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission.
