Cell tower at Lake County golf course?

The planning committee of the Lake County Forest Preserve District on Monday will discuss whether to allow a cell tower at one of two sites at Countryside golf course near Mundelein. In March, the committee determined a public open house should be held first and the results reviewed. Central Lakes Tower said it needs a commitment from the district on one of the sites before holding an open house. In light of that, forest district staff is seeking direction whether to continue negotiations with the company. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the operations and public safety building, 19808 W. Grand Ave., Lake Villa.
