Needed travel ban is on solid legal ground

In part Chapter 2, Section 212 of Public Law 414 passed by a Democratic Congress and signed by Harry Truman, a Democrat, on June 27, 1952, it reads as follows: "Aliens who belong to an organization that seeks to overthrow the government of the USA by force, violence or other unconstitutional means are prohibited from entry into the USA."

Further, U.S. Code 1182 reads in part, "Whenever the president deems that entry of any alien or class of alien into the U.S. would be detrimental … he may, by proclamation, and for such period of time as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of such alien or class of aliens … or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem appropriate."

Given the recent terror attacks in Britain, France and various parts of the Mideast, it is abundantly clear that small numbers of maniacally motivated individuals can and will do harm to innocent populations - wherever they might be.

Liberal justices from the Ninth and Fourth District Appeals courts have twice ruled that Trump's temporary travel ban from select countries is unconstitutional. In so doing these jurists have themselves overstepped their constitutional boundaries and are attempting to legislate rather than adjudicate. I don't think a Harvard Law degree is needed to understand the firm footing on which Trump's actions are based. The left's continued attack on Trump's immigration program is based on the blatant disregard for these inconvenient but irrefutable facts noted above.

I have a word of caution to those who think the civilized West can coexist with radical Islam. The radicals are at war with us, and hiding behind adolescent notions of "peace and universal love" only guarantees one thing - more victims.

Public employee 'lottery'

Why do people play the lottery? What they should do is become a public employee. Short career. Can't get fired. Raises for breathing. They invest $150,000 in their retirement and receive $2 million to $3 million in retirement payments. Winner.

Then, they are allowed to go back to work and double their money. Awesome.
