Lake Barrington seeks village administrator applicants
Lake Barrington has announced it is seeking applications for village administrator. Officials said they want candidates willing to make a five- to seven-year minimum service commitment to address several long-range planning and economic development strategies. The village is prepared to offer a base salary of $110,000 to $120,500 per year and a full benefits package. The goal is hire a village administrator under a four-year deal by Sept. 15. The job opened after Christopher Martin resigned in January after 11 years in Lake Barrington. While it was not required, the village board decided to give Martin six months' base salary as well as compensation for unused sick and vacation days, which came out to $143,598.
