Free garden walk June 24 in Libertyville

The Gardeners of Central Lake County will host a free garden walk in Libertyville on June 24.

The self-guided walk will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature six residential gardens. Highlights include native perennials, a wide assortment of trees and shrubs and a Japanese garden.

Maps and directions for the walk will be available at the Cook Park Library in Libertyville, the Fremont Public Library in Mundelein and the Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills. They're also available at gardenersofcentrallakecounty.org.
