Prayers at Aurora Farmers Market
Aurora Methodists will offer free prayers at the downtown Aurora Farmers Market on select Saturdays at 233 S. Broadway. The Rev. Deborah Tinsley Taylor, the pastor of Fourth Street United Methodist Church in Aurora, invites the public to stop by from 8 a.m. to noon on July 1, July 22, Aug. 12, Sept. 2 and Sept. 23. Prayers by volunteers will be available in English and Spanish.
Depending on a visitor's request, one to three church volunteers - called pray-ers - will assist. Written prayer requests will also be accepted. Additionally, homemade sweet bread will be offered for donations. "They may have experience with prayer for or with another, or no experience with prayer," Taylor said. "Prayer is the best wireless connection."
