Tour a historic Lake Forest garden June 23
The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation will host a stroll in a historic garden from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 23.
The garden originally was part of an estate built for Edward Ryerson in 1906 and now surrounds a home built in 1933 for the Edison Dick family. The 3-acre property includes two ravines that accent the formal gardens.
David Adler and landscape architect Ralph Griswold designed the gardens, which include a greenhouse from the 1933 World's Fair.
Cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Reservations are limited and required in advance. For reservations, visit LFPF.org or call (847) 234-1230.
