Comedian got swept up by Trump's acts
That photo depiction of Trump at the hands of Kathy Griffin and Tyler Shields was disgustingly alarming and so tasteless as to be frightening, horrific and borderline "insane." But Kathy G. the Emmy Award winner, funny lady and outspoken anti-Trump vocalist is a very emotional and passionate sort. She has had enough of our president's words of ridicule and hate toward selected human targets we hear and read about every day.
Whether it's Trump's uncouth reference to Megan Kelly, whether it's him calling women pigs and boasting he can grope them at will, whether it's him making cruel fun of a handicapped reporter, whether it's him attempting to disgrace a Gold Star family, whether it's him impulsively accusing the president before him of a felony or whether it's him saying and doing things that keep many of us up at night - Kathy Griffin, more visible than most of us, simply had enough.
She may have been telling herself, "This man gets away with everything. What can I do to express my anger and disgust? I'm busting with what I know is wrong."
And, so in her fury she went into no-no-never-do land. Result, she may go the way of Billy Bush. But, President Trump ironically becomes the victim here as his chronic base supports him even more.
Of course, Griffin should not have done what she did. However, the reality is that this powerless entertainer got swept up in the wake of The Donald - every wave echoing, "I do what I want - Don't you try it! "
